The Hub works with schools, trusts and partners across Bradford and beyond to support teacher and leadership development at all stages of the career journey.
As part of the national education system, the Hub facilitates the delivery of Department for Education programmes in partnership with accredited providers, ensuring that high-quality professional development is accessible to schools and staff.
Our Role
Teaching School Hubs are school-led centres of excellence. They play a key role in supporting the recruitment, development and retention of teachers and leaders.
Through this work, the Hub acts as a local point of access for national programmes, helping schools to engage with high-quality, evidence-informed professional development.
Supporting Teacher Development
The Teaching School Hub facilitates programmes that support teachers and leaders at every stage of their career. This includes:
- Supporting school-based Initial Teacher Training (ITT)
- Facilitating the Early Career Teacher (ECT) entitlement and induction support
- Supporting access to National Professional Qualifications (NPQs)
These programmes form part of a national framework designed to provide a structured and coherent journey from initial training through to leadership.
Working in Partnership
The Hub works in partnership with lead providers, schools and trusts to ensure that programmes are delivered effectively and meet the needs of local contexts.
This collaborative approach enables schools to access high-quality support while benefiting from strong local networks and expertise.
Appropriate Body Services
Teaching School Hubs also play a key role in providing appropriate body services, supporting schools to ensure that Early Career Teachers receive their statutory induction and entitlement.
Our Local Role
Exceed Teaching School Hub supports schools across Bradford and works with partners across the region to strengthen teacher and leadership development.
Through this work, we contribute to improving the quality of education and supporting schools to develop and sustain high standards.
