Through our EAL Hub, we work with schools and partners to strengthen provision for pupils who use English as an additional language, ensuring that they are able to access a high-quality education and achieve strong outcomes.

Our Role

The Trust is accredited by The Bell Foundation to deliver the Language for Results programme and contributes to the development of EAL provision across the region.

We work collaboratively with schools, clusters and partners to support the development of effective practice and improve outcomes for EAL learners.

Supporting Schools

Our work includes supporting schools to:

  • Develop effective whole-school approaches to EAL
  • Strengthen teaching and learning for multilingual learners
  • Improve assessment and understanding of pupil need
  • Support staff to develop confidence and expertise in EAL provision

Support is informed by research, evidence and practical experience across a wide range of school contexts.

Professional Development Events & Training

Through the EAL Hub, we provide a range of professional development opportunities.

These opportunities enable staff to work together, share expertise and strengthen practice across schools.
