Exceed Academies Trust Hosts Groundbreaking AI in Education Conference

Exceed Academies Trust, in partnership with TransforMATive, proudly hosted its first AI in Education Conference at the University of Leeds on 28 February 2025, with a follow-up sold-out event on 23 June 2025 due to overwhelming demand.
The conferences brought together educators, innovators, and system leaders from across the country for a day of discovery, challenge, and sharing of experiences and ideas. At the heart of both events was a commitment to equity and collaboration: ensuring that every school, regardless of where they are on their AI journey, can benefit from emerging technologies to improve outcomes for pupils.
The conference highlighted Exceed’s commitment to sharing its AI journey with the wider education sector, publishing resources and tools to support other schools and trusts to take their next steps in harnessing AI.
From interactive demonstrations with VR and AR headsets to exploring cutting-edge neuroimaging technologies such as EEG, attendees experienced first-hand how artificial intelligence can enhance teaching and learning. Central to the discussions was how AI can empower staff, helping tackle teacher workload and free up valuable time for what matters most: supporting pupils and young people.
Sponsors showcased pioneering technologies, while schools at different stages of their AI journey shared honest reflections on what works—and what doesn’t. The collective sense of purpose was clear: to reimagine how education can be enriched in an AI-augmented world.
